Map
of Scotland - 1714 Hermann Moll
(d.1732) - The north part of Great Britain called Scotland...

Moll moved to England from continental Europe
in 1678, working initially as an engraver before becoming a
publisher. His distinctive engraving style produces crisp, clear
maps. First published in 1714, Moll's map of Scotland introduces a
different outline, and incorporates new information from the surveys
of John Adair. The attractive views are based on John Slezer's
illustrations in Theatrum Scotiae, 1693.
