MAP of SCOTLAND - 1851
Drawn and engraved by J. Rapkin. London:  J & F Tallis, 1851

Tallis's maps are unusually decorative at a time when maps were becoming more accurate and scientific. The illustrations depict aspects of Scotland of interest to the Victorian tourist, including deer stalking, Holyrood House, and an early picture of shinty, a popular game particularly in the Highlands.
