A new map of Scotland, for ladies'
needlework. London: Laurie & Whittle,

Geography and needlework were often combined
for educated young ladies in the late 18th and early 19th centuries.
While practicing their stitches, they could also learn the shape of
Scotland and its counties. Laurie & Whittle's map offers
simplified outlines which could have been traced or pricked out onto
cloth.
